AND while construction costs are high, long life hydro costs are very low.
Much of Snowy’s hydro machinery is still original from about 70 years ago! Hydro - and dams to which the same logic applies - are classic examples of our notoriously short-term strategic thinking, exacerbated by knee-jerk politics surrounding <3-year election cycles….
