hagetaka, just before 2100 AEST on Sunday 12 June, the most 'decarbonised' state in South Australia had 83 per cent of its energy production through gas and just seven per cent via wind, and solar of course nil.

Some nights, wind provides a far higher percentage but as you imply, it's unreliable.

In radical-left (politically) Victoria, wind was at only 14 per cent and solar nil.

In Queensland, wind was at five per cent while in NSW, wind was 10 per cent of energy being generated.

However AEMO with its foreign CEO and others in the 'energy space' disparage coal and sometimes gas, yet these sources are ensuring that Victorians, Taswegians and Canberrans to name three don't suffer the cold indoors during what was an early start to winter in late autumn and now.

Thermal coal continues to have a big role.
