You persist with a incorrect binary decision in regards to fossil fuels use em or don't and link using them with imminent disaster.
Facts are
Fossil fuels will have to be used ina transittion and as base load as renewables are not ready and possibly not currently capable.
Your choice to stop using all fossil fuels immediately is not feasable - it is a fairytale
The costs to Australia in trade of going too fast into renewables are high in financial and trade and possible actually slow our real transittion to in teh future having base load renewable avaliable.
You spruiking green rhetoric is as bad as some spouting no change is required and is not actually creating a reasonable dialog
Please start your own threads and include the possible alternatives to base load gas and coal that are avaliable and affordable to Australia today to continue the discussion. Lithium is not the answer to storage - it is great for mobile battery but a limited resource and not effecient for fixed storage and too expensive with no recycling technology avaliable . Household lithium is expensive and per KW expensive same with household solar. Community batteries at least have a purpose in keeping telecomunications alive when main network is down Australia doesn't have massive double dams and excess water for hydro and pumped hydro and greens do everythiung possible to stop dams being created . Solar doesn't work at night. Wave power- not reliable or ecconomic so far - so that si narrowing the field. Large scale liquid flow batteries look promising. Whoel electricity networka nd grid has been designed to get centralised power from station to household or industry to teh othe rway hence teh big distribution costs being encountered
Simply taking the piss out of gas without painting a big picture is just being a wank fairytale - tell us the solution that is avaliable
