We are already behaving like idiots with government putting on price cap and than cancel licence on new development. This already comprised investment in new gas field which would have alleviate the gas shortage over East.
At present, the price cap will not do a thing in terms of energy security on the east coast it will potentially devastate the Aussie economy with no investment. it will be in the same position as Germany when we scramble every last bit of gas which was supposed to be exported.
