In a new paper, the Labor Environment Action Network (LEAN) estimates there are 12 million gas appliances that will need to be replaced by electric appliances. The efficiency of old electrical appliances will also need to be improved, LEAN contends. It proposes electrifying 1 million houses a year between now and 2030. " :

Umm !!! if indeed that does happen there will be more pressure placed on an already archaic Electrical Grid. Black outs happen nearly every day and night of the week in Northern Australia. I wonder if those LEAN numbers included the back yard barbies and the the water heaters.

When the black outs occur , they ( the northerners ) simply light the barbie to boil and cook. Of course the hot water systems powered by the little gas burners are unaffected , therefore a hot shower is always guaranteed.

Its been very cloudy up in the North for about a month now , still have an other 8 weeks to go at least. The greenies all have their DIESEL GENERATORS fired up to the max to keep the batteries charged that are usually charged by the sun in the dry.

BTW there is next to no wind either , , Oh well there might be a big cyclone shortly , that will get the wind generators going for a couple of days , or until they are blown away , Ho Hum , Life gets tedious don't it.

BTW any one have any tips for running 3 phase power using renewables during times of nil wind and over cast conditions. Appreciate any help on this little issue. I mean it's no biggy , it just means that most industry must shut up shop for a few months , look !! that matters not in this world of ours today , shut her down , close her up , lock the doors , send em all home , It's OK , the lefties will make sure your check is in the mail each week.
