Yes, Australian Mines’ Flemington Project does contain platinum, and at a grade very similar (not surprisingly) as Clean TeQ’s of around 0.5 grams per tonne

The issue with platinum, and the reason that AUZ doesn’t quote figures nor did Clean TeQ until recently, is that none of the processing plants designed for nickel and cobalt can extract platinum. (They extract scandium very easily but not platinum).

In their most recent announcement CLQ did say that they are looking at including an add-on to their plant to extract the platinum but my numbers suggest that the economics won’t work.

Therefore companies like AUZ, CLQ and PGM are faced with a decision - platinum only or cobalt + nickel + scandium.
