Are there any good sources for global Tin inventories? it looks like the LME typically has just over 2000t (over the last year) but a significant portion of that is closed warrants so it's already sold. The US, China and Korea have held strategic reserves in the past but the US was down to 4000t last year and was apparently in the process of selling it off, China's has possibly already gone and I can't find numbers for Korea's. Is the market in deficit to the point where none of the Tin metal production is being stockpiled and it goes almost immediately to end-product? The Shanghai metals exchange seems to be more "commodity" based (i.e. there's prices for Tin Powder, solder etc.) they do quote Tin ingots, but I couldn't access inventory levels. I'm interested to know if there is significant Tin stockpiled anywhere which could offset what appears to be ongoing increasing demand
