Great interview thanks for sharing.
For those who cbf listening, here’s the upcoming timeline Peter discussed:
- ”in the next sort of week or so, we'll be releasing more data on our drilling” … “this is actually other titanium prospects associated with the weathering products of the basement in saprolyte.” I assume this is the drilling at Claypan etc, so interesting but probably not exciting.
- “we have work on the mineral sizing to come out in the next few weeks on Rosewood, which I hope will give the market some confidence that this thing will be easy to separate from its host.” Hopefully this also includes mineralogy work too. My visual sizing from photos (eg release on 9/11/24) shows that it is good sand , and this should just be a confirmation.
- “from early March, we'll be drilling, doing step-out exploration drilling to the north and adding, doing some minor infill drilling, as well as collecting that bulk sample that I mentioned earlier on, to do initial sort of pilot plant style separation testing.” Peter also mentioned earlier in the podcast a potential for the resource to double in size with additional drilling. This is bullish imo, but 50% is quite realistic to the west/north. Hopefully we’ll see a release soon outlining the drilling plan.
- “once we’ve got our con, our heavy mineral concentrate, using magnets and static and other methods to break it down into the various product groups … that work, I think will be done by April, May”
- “we'll be shopping that all around to the various smelters around the globe to see what it's worth. So I think very quickly, …. in the next six months … we could grow the size of this thing significantly and de-risk it”
Then, for all the CR folks out there:
- “we have about 2.5 million in the bank right now. The exploration is cheap. We're talking air-core drilling here to 35 meters, so it costs us $1,000 a hole. we can, for $200,000 or $300,000, we can actually define a resource. It's one of the great things about mineral sands exploration. So as a junior, we're well cashed up to do the next phase of work.”
