Interesting article for all Vocus shareholders. nbn have basically announced they will build fibre to a large amount of business locations at $0.00 build cost. As I'm aware it also means flattening the price across all geographical zones. This allows independent carriers to directly interconnect with NBN to provide business-grade fibre services to metro and regional areas where previously difficult.

This news wont be received well by private fibre network carriers such as Vocus, TPG, Telstra and will likely mean they will need to reduce pricing of ethernet and internet services across their own network.

Expect Kevin to come out swinging.
