Android, a pretty deep correction (close to bear territory, imo); a fall in the price of copper; awful Ords; OZL thought of as predator with a possible SFR play; and a public holiday in three states, multipling the loss effect... all of these couldn't help but push OZL's SP down.
redgum, yes, SFR could be obstructionist, but rightly so, really, to protect shareholder money. One thing that is interesting is that SFR seems to have no real takoever speculation premium built in right now- it's just falling like the next share is. OZL buying now- but not bidding- is a terrific strategy: SFR could not accept an offer now with a "distressed" SP, so OZL buys all it can now cheaply, and then gets the other 80% at a more reasonable price for SFR shareholders when markets improve. This wouldn;t be bad for OZL shareholders either, as an increasing SFR (and OZL) SP = a better price for copper, no less.
Bad time now on the markets all 'round now, though. :/
