Hallo HT1,

A friend of mine is a senior lecturer in finance. I asked her about share consolidations. Only the first point forms part of their formal response; increasing the share price to make it more attractive to institutional investors.

I suggested that it may have a psychological impact on smaller investors. This idea was not supported by my friend. So the consolidation is only to make the share more acceptable as you have stated in point 1.

I tried to think of some other benefits but came up with nothing. Cheers, HC42
