    What is your definition of medium to long-term investing, as you mention at the beginning of the thread? Managed funds and LIC's often recommend investing for at least 3 to 5 years to ride out market volatility, and allow time for a company to grow.

    I notice you've been dumping many holdings after 1 or 2 months if they haven't moved or are in the red. Long term investors need to hold through good and bad times if business fundamentals haven't changed. Brokerage and taxes will eat away at returns, especially if we trade too much and/or parcel sizes are too small.
