I think those hard ball tactics will have to wait until next year... Vendors and real estate need more pain yet and only time will give you that.
Next year will be the year to start offering low balls... too many people are still wrapped up in positive spruik to understand what is going on with prices...
But slowly over time they will start to wake up and it is only now that main stream media is starting to report the gloom. Give it til Xmas plus and it will be the real estate agent that will be the one chasing after you shouting out lower prices down the driveway....
Personally why would you buy now at any price when the shot is just hitting the fan...You could discount 25% and still pay too much
