Currently living in Bangkok in Thailand and notice the growth with construction, new rail systems and upgraded living conditions. There is an emerging middle class in Thailand that demand concrete & steel, cars, bikes and everyday items like the kitchen sink. If this is the same in other parts of asia like china, Malaysia, Vietnam, laos, Cambodia, Burma and india then we should only take the export figures lightly and focus on the internal consumption of the region. Also take into account that both Indonesia and india have decided to stop raw iron ore exports by 2014 for the reason of internal demand and resource security for the future. Something to ponder on today?
