If you have a job,20% deposit plus enough funds to pay legals,loan set up fees and stamp duty the banks will throw plenty of money at you even on a interest only basis for rental propertys. It is not hard to get into the banks for $2m with a 100k a year job for rental propertys. And as they grow a bit in value the banks are looking to get people in deeper.
