    EXCELLENT PROGRESS AT WOLFRAM CAMP
Queensland Ores Limited (QOL) is pleased to announce that excellent progress has been made with the construction of its Treatment Plant at the Wolfram Camp Mine. In addition a number of other important earthworks projects have progressed favourably despite some 150 mm of rain that fell at the site in late November and early December.
As the photographs depict, pouring of foundations in the Treatment Plant site is well advanced with Lycopodium Engineering’s concrete works contractor, GPB Construction, having already completed the major pours for the ball mill and crushing plant foundations. Rabmint Pty Ltd, the Structural, Mechanical and Piping contractor, is now site established and has commenced various prefabrication works. Important items of equipment are currently arriving on site on a daily basis with the ball mill and the tungsten gravity circuit Kelsey rougher jig being offloaded during the last week.
In terms of mining activities, arrangements are in hand for the first blast in the open pit on 19 December 2007. Preparatory earthworks in the area of the first blast have unearthed some interesting wolframite mineralisation in an area not previously drilled as part of the earlier exploratory programme – see photograph. Andy Border, QOL’s Chief Geologist, commented: “This is typical of the surprises that we can expect at Wolfram Camp. The whole hill has the potential for random occurrences of mineralisation such as the one discovered this week.
