NTIVFF, I tend to agree with you to the extent that the announcement was carefully worded almost to the point of being guarded, but the facts are if it is later learnt negotiations have broken off, this release signed by the company secretary and one would have to surmise authorised by Forrest himself, would still damm them both in regards to non disclosure, something I am sure they would need like a hole in the head. My worry is that the Chinese are holding out for a controlling interest. and in light of the FIRB clampdown on this, probably has zero chance of happening. I tend to think if this is China's final decision ie to have control of FMG, this would have been made unbundantly clear to the exec of FMG.
