< LC, can u give me a rundown on the delisting procedures and what u reckon lok will do in order to avoid it? TIA >

The Countdown to October 12, (the delisting date) is 37 trading sessions, I believe.

So Looksmart has until October 12, 2005, to regain compliance with The Nasdaq National Market's $1.00 minimum bid price rule. (This is as has been posted on Yahoo). The Company received the notice because the bid price of its common stock closed below $1.00 per share for 30 consecutive business days.

Under Marketplace Rule 4450(b)(4), $1.00 per share is the minimum required closing bid price for continued listing. If at any time during the grace period, the bid price of the company's common stock closes at $1.00 per share or more for at least ten consecutive business days (or such longer period of time as may be required by Nasdaq, in its discretion), Nasdaq will notify the company that it complies with the Rule.

Tokyo .... I have no doubt (whatsoever) that LOOK will get above this qualification within the required period. I reckon they (accumulators) have been positioning for some time now, for this likelyhood. Note the 150,000 buy (on friday) at or, near the .75cps high of the session.

Should they fail, they then get a chance to 'show cause' to the Nasdaq Authority, as to why they should be granted an extention. An example of such, (apparently) in recent times, is TMTA ....

Why would LOOK recieve an extention, should it be required???

Their (yet to be announced) 'deals' with both Viacom's CBS (17 TV station Websites) Network & IAC's ASK will be enough, IMO to see that necessary 'spike', let alone one other Major Media/Publisher, not released, as yet.

Check how the Page Views per user are UP 12% for this Ask Jeeves, Looksmart powered property!!

It also enjoys a good Traffic Rank, too.

This would be nice for LOOK too ????

    Sony PSP and Search?

"I wonder if there’s a Search Engine out there (Y!, G, AOL, LookSmart? Probably not MSN…) that saw the upcoming release and called Sony and made a deal to get pre-installed on the PSPs."

"You know that I think the web browser is going to be a killer app for the device. It’s not perfect, but I think it’s pretty great. Being the default search engine would not only be a win in terms of owning that specific device, it would also set the stage in terms of mind share for being “The” search engine for consumer electronics."

A 'rough' chance, I'd feel. But, a chance.
