I think that Mittens was the reason that FNT failed, or at least a significant part. "Left to pursue other opp's" is therefore a misnomer.
Also the guy has been in telco for a long time (he is apparently in his late 50's), not that it helped progress FNT, so he hardly going to change vocation now.
