ok! so, for those of you who like charts, look at the last time SSN had a golden cross: August 2004. this is when the 50 day moving average crosses the 200 day moving average. the move up was - to put it mildy - spectaculor.
a golden cross is not a helpful entry signal when volumes are small and the SP is moving sideways. i do not think we have had for the past couple of days.
on the daily chart we had a golden cross yesterday and today - this is usually a good and safe time to buy a stock or an index
sometimes the instrument price can move down after a golden cross but this does not worry the buyer because a cross is agood signal that the bulls are in control.
today, we had a doji! this means indecision in terms of direction. however, when you combine that with a golden cross I would certainly be betting that a move up this week is more likely than not.
