WPL has a number of headwinds and tail winds.
Posters have already indicated the headwinds. The tail winds are PLUTO trains 2, 3 and 4. They are very close to having enough gas for train 2 and there is increasing discussion in the press that BHP will do a deal with WPL to either
1) sell Scarborough to WPL for trains 3 and 4 or
2) use Pluto trains 3 and 4 to process Scarborough gas and provide WPL with third party gas processing payments.
Option 1 would almost certainly involve a capital raising. Option 2 could mean BHP pays WPL between $2B and $4B for use of the infrastructure.
So even if Browse falls over (which I certainly believe will not happen - the WA govt is behind Browse and wants it to go ahead. The protesters are like the ones who wanted to get Pine Gap closed down - they lost as will the Browse protesters), WPL has enough growth projects to sustain the current sp.
