re: u mining ban I have been following RPT for a short while and have done some research. I really like the easy mine resource they have. It is all speculative however because of the Federal U mines policy. The government is losing in the polls atm, they are facing a backlash in regards to IR laws, Telstra is a nuisance, Costello will make a challenge next year, immigration is a mess, and we are in a war which is getting more unpopular.
The U policy will eventually be changed imo, but I do not think it will happen this term. Any policy change will attract huge debate and opposition. Right or wrong, the government has enough on its plate.
