One cannot assume that a share price will drop to the level the SPP bought.
Look at BNO's recent SPP last month. Offer price was 24c. The share price rose within days to 25c and peaked at 31c about a week before the allotment date, after which it fell to sustained 28c more or less.
Overall, a 17% or so rise from the date the SPP was made.
