what stock are you referring to would be more helpful for you?

and on a stock moving on small volume this could be attributed to anything

from someone thinking the stock is undervalued to as simple as someone wanting to take a small position and to as more involved someone knowing something and just getting set

i am sure many on here will give views but trading is complex and looking at one thing in isolation is dangerous such as buy or sell side depth

for example look at yesterdays and todays trading on HAO

could be helpful if you cited a particular stock so input could be more detailed
