Shareholders will soon be reaching a stage where they will be very open to a reasonable takeover offer. There could be a few candidates who would like to get into Australian Pharmacy scene as full line wholesalers with a network of aligned pharmacies particularly in good shopping centre locations.Coles, Woolworths or DHL could be amoung likely suitors. Are Sigma's major shareholders in a position of strength to resist?
Perhaps if API and Sigma don't start talking merger soon it may be too late and the landscape of retail pharmacy could change forever.
