The ASX short sale figure for IGO last Friday was 647,618. This is not very high as a percentage of the volume for Friday's regular trading hours though it was still about 1.8x of the normal daily numbers. The big drop was due to both shorting and funds trying to lower the price for their big swap after hours. Today's lift in share price seems to suggest that the tax loss selling is coming to an end. July would be a better time for IGO's share price.
