Thanks for looking into it, but doesn’t look like they are this year. All of the speakers are also sponsors, so it’s effectively a paid speaking slot. I’m actually totally fine with this. Firstly, I’m happy for them not to spend meaningful cash this way. Secondly, I work in a sales role for a tech company that mostly serves financial services, and attend a lot of this type of conference. We typically sponsor the events we attend, and as such get panel or preso slots. By far the most value I get is from networking, lunches, dinners and meetings organised around the conferences. Speaking slots are very often a total non-event. You might pick up a handful of delegates buying a handful of shares this way, but it’s one to one engagements that typically really move things.
