I thought its a good time to start looking forward again. These are the things I thought it would be good to look at:

1. The AGM on 18 November should give us added insight into how the company is travelling. I am not going so hopefully someone can summarise ...

2. We did not have the large acquisitions in the first quarter last year so they should add impetus to the first half. I am looking to a normalised EPS of of above 3c for the first half. If it gets to the 3.4c and above then I would be extremely happy.

3. Outside of the EMG acquisition - which I really think is going to add significant value over time we have not had any new bolt-ons this year - 2017. I had hoped we would see a few added in the first 6 months. However the EMG acquisition will probably make no impact this half as its only effective in October.

4. I am surprised , after researching it , how many consumables and renewable items are used within the Ophthalmic arena so I have got more confident about the Designs for vision acquisition.

5. I am of the belief that the company is still making progress. So maybe just maybe we will see a half year EPS above 3.5c... that would give management the space to increase the dividend to around 1.2c and thereby increase over last year by 50%...

Anyone have any other thoughts....
