I actually had a chat to MS around about 3 weeks after the acquisition. I was very surprised that they would go into that area. I think - my extrapolation not his words - that they have been looking at the IOT ( Internet of Things) as we ended up talking about a company I was looking at that can take technical data output from a variety of things that only a service person would normally read and then reformat it to give the user or other interested parties information. It was clear to me that MS thought that Midas was a unique opportunity and as such was such a great opportunity they could not ignore it.
I know how frugal he is so I am not that concerned because he and his team certainly don't waste money. That's what I really like about them. Frugal does not mean you walk into a building with everybody miserable in fact quite the opposite - they seemed proud about how they do things...
I certainly would not expect to see another Midas in the basket.
