Here are some quick thoughts and responses to comments:
"According to the company, the shares have a net asset backing of $1.14. Even if we discounted their valuations by 50%, we'd still be left with an asset backing of 67c"
If only life was that simple. Using the numbers from the AGM:
Assets $1,790M, debt $706M. Half assets is $895M less debt of $706M is NTA of $189M
Ignoring TREES and their conversion the latest notice has 637M shares outstanding. So around 30 cents NTA.
GTP will loss money this year.
TREES2 investors will need to be dealt with. You should look into the conversion of these.
Is 50% to aggresive? Well at the AGM they said they'd sell their owned debt for 50 cents in the dollar. GTP don't have a record of honesty, so 50% may be high. If you increase it to 60% then they have zero NTA.
