Polartechnics distribution, manufacturing agreements

Sydney - Tuesday - November 25: (RWE Aust Business News) -
Polartechnics (ASX:PLT) has signed two distribution agreement with
Beijing Unisplendour.
Unisplendour has placed an initial order for 100,000 CerviScreen
personal DNA collection devices to be delivered before March 31, 2009.
It is planning to distribute CerviScreen as an Over The Counter
consumer product for screening of HPV and sexually transmitted infections
through its network of 2180 pharmacies throughout China.
Mutually agreed forecasts for CerviScreen sales in China are
expected to build to over 10m units per annum and be worth approximately
$46 million in revenue over the next three years.
Unisplendour has also signed an agreement to invest $2m via a
share placement in Polartechnics by 24th February 2009, subject to
further due diligence.
Another subsidiary of Unisplendour has signed a distribution
agreement for TruScreen in China.
Shanghai Kaidi Medical Equipment has entered into a contract with
the Chinese Women's Doctors Association to supply TruScreen as the
cervical cancer screening test for over 1m women over three years.
Polartechnics has forecast TruScreen sales in China of
approximately $88m over the next three years.
Polartechnics has signed manufacturing agreements with HTL
Strefa (Poland) and First Engineering Plastics (Malaysia) to ensure a
sufficient and reliable supply of the TruScreen consumables to meet the
expected market demand.
Polartechnics has also signed a manufacturing agreement withCopan
Italia, ensuring Polartechnics' ability to meet initial demand for the
CerviScreen collection device and to provide an exclusive licence to
Copan's patented flocking technology for this class of device.
This manufacturing agreement will also create a supply capacity,
commencing March 2009, of 3mn CerviScreen personal DNA collection devices
in the first year of the contract.
