Moolart Well Gold Project – Mining Studies Update
The Directors of Regis Resources NL (“Regis”) are pleased to report that Golder Associates Pty Ltd (“Golder”) have been appointed to undertake mining studies on the Moolart Well gold project located in the north Laverton region of the Eastern Goldfields.
Following on from the Moolart Well gold resource recently completed by Golder, they will:
• undertake a Whittle open pit optimisation study of the laterite and saprolite gold resource;
• produce detailed tonnage schedules of high grade ore, low grade ore and waste for the various pit designs; and
• conduct various sensitivity analyses to the main design variables.
Results of the study are expected in the current quarter. These results will allow Regis to more closely target exploration of the deeper saprolite and basement gold mineralisation, and to aid in the determination of appropriate gold processing plant throughput options and configurations for the project. Regis is currently examining a variety of processing options for treating Moolart Well ore types.
The Moolart Well gold project is a joint venture between Regis and Newmont Duketon Pty Ltd. Regis is manager and holds a combined direct and indirect equity interest of 59.2% in the joint venture.
