During the year Mintails announced a JORC classified uranium resource of approximately 21.1 million pounds and a plan to commence uranium production by early 2008.

The construction of Phase 1 of West Rand Gold and Uranium Operation (“WERGO”) on the West Rand is scheduled for completion in October 2008 and is expected to operate at a throughput rate of around 1.24 million tonnes per month and provide 1.08 to 1.32 million pounds of uranium and 70,000 to 80,000 ounces
of gold per annum.
