COMPANY PROFILE Straits Resources Limited ("Straits") was founded in 1992 and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in July 1994. Since listing, the Company has established itself as a low cost copper and coal producer. Straits operates two mines, the Girilambone Copper Mine (100% interest) in New South Wales and the Sebuku Coal Mine (80% interest) in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Straits recently sold is 100% interest in the Nifty Copper Mine in Australia. Two other copper projects, namely Whim Creek (100% interest) in Western Australia and Tritton in New South Wales are in the pipeline for development. Straits recently entered into a Joint Venture in relation to the exploration and possible recommenctment of the Mt Muro Gold project in Kalimantan, Indonesia.
