SDM enjoys good margin on providing services for coal handling plants, whereas CCI do laboratory coal testing which is a service which is less risky as far as knowing the costs involved with each job and therefore provides a lower but more reliable level of profit margin. at 27.5c CHL is on a P/E of 12.5 times H1 earnings. SDM floated at over 25 times H1 earnings which is a fair level for a high growth stock.
There will be a closing of the gap as CHL experiences more upside from here i reckon.....
