I just had a look on CAP's website to see if any news or articles posted there and found an article with an interview with Quentin Hill, who is business development manager.
Good general summary of Hawsons. Long terms shareholder will be familiar with the details but nice summary to any new shareholders.
The article is dated 1 January 2013 and at the end it states "At the time of writing Carpentaria's small scale pilot plant work was nearing completion, environmental approvals were underway and the company was continuing early BFS works on the project.
The company was also looking to secure a development partner and was in advanced discussions with a number of
parties with the hope of starting production in 2016."
Good to see BFS work continuing in absence of any sale. Whilst already a couple of weeks old, comments re development partners still positive and I wouldn't expect anything to have changed given price of iron ore.
Whilst I am getting tired of waiting, in my mind the clock for the current board to obtain a deal doesn't start ticking until BMG's interest in Hawsons has been sold by the liquidator. Given it was advertised for expessions of interest in September? last year, hopefully the time for submitting expressions of interest and final offers and legal formalities will be coming to an end soon. CAP will then have 45 days to purchase BMG's interest at the same price being offered to the liquidator. I am not aware if that time period has commenced but hopefully we will hear something when it does.
