speaking to a fund manager today, the biggest problem with valad is that once it has fallen to a certain level, the mandates of most property funds would not have allowed them to hold it anymore, so a massive overhang.
the only funds buying now are opportunity type funds which will not have as much impact.
however if it can rise from the ashes on its own accord, then it could get back into some funds.
they did say most banks will not pull the finance plug, just tweak the margin.
come on valad get some news flow out.
