I am comfortable with the market putting this price on IGO.
If I'm going to shake my head at any IGO valuation, it would be the muppets who were selling down their IGO positions at $3.80 a few months back, or $2.80 mid-last year. Nickel stocks were already depleted around July of last year.
Orlando, in that scenario you mention, my calculations put the % of hedged nickel at around 30%.
- 12000 tonnes produced nickel
- gives 8000t payable nickel (net of BHPB smelter payout)
- 2400t / 8000t = 30%.
