From the Aust-Sino ‘Project Update’ 22, September 2021:

”Once in China, and post quarantine requirements, Mr Ding will then be engaging in meetings with financial investors to progress the New Project. Importantly, this will involve putting together the final agreements to finalise the funding of the New Project. It will also involve advanced discussions in relation to a proposal that a Steel Manufacturing Plant be included in the overall project. These discussions will centre around the initial feasibility of building a Steel Manufacturing Plant in connection with the New Project as well as investigating the best overall location for the Plant in relation to the overall logistics of the new Port and Rail Network.Once these discussions have concluded in China, Mr Ding, along with key members of the final investor group, will travel to Africa to meet in-country representatives that will be central to the advancement of the New Project.”
