The market is flooded with wannabe colleges and English language provision colleges. First thing to consider is that English language education is still a relatively minor part of NVT's business compared to its university pathway division.
Second thing to note is that NVT has the key contracts from the government on migrant English.
What makes NVT different is that what it offers in all divisions is different - when NVT was set up back in 1994, it offered a unique product (on campus pathway education to a specific university) that worked and hence expanded.
Remember one of the great things about NVT to my recollection: no debt and pretty cash rich :) All new start ups breakeven in 18 months and this has been proved over the past 3 years.
