Jumped into this one yesterday. Surprised to find that there seems to be little enthusiasm on HC. Having read the last annual report, I am impressed by the potential that NFK has, taking into consideration these aspects of their operations, among others:
1. Solid position in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) installation and maintenance,
2. Expertise in high/low voltage electrical installation and distribution,
3. Well placed to participate in the burgeoning volume of solar panel installations,
4. Prospect of involvement in NBN or other fibre rollout. Already has experience,
5. Strong presence in Asia and NZ (including Christchurch !),
6. Expertise in railway signalling and comms,
7. Record order book, benefitting from growth in infrastructure spending.
8. Appears to have learned some worthwhile lessons from the GFC.
