I was very happy with AGO in the past. I was a past GIR holder through thick and thin and they launch that TO. Although I sold out prematurely at around 3-4 bucks from memory it was taken over at the 6 level. They managed to get the GIR project to produce IO but that is just history with no current bearing.
I will only buy this stock if the IOP starts a reversal and more good news out of China. I am not even sure that will happen for the next 12months hence the reluctance to even consider bhp/rio now that those super giants are at the bottom end of the quartile. At least with them you don't have to worry about your investment going broke, just a matter of potential small to big draw down. With AGO you can be pulling a large trade hoping for some small swing and like the recent past if a TH comes in before you exit, then anything can happen.
