NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - IBM's generally positive quarterly report could boost stocks when U.S. markets begin trading Friday.
Early Friday, Nasdaq and S&P futures were pointing to a positive start on Wall Street.
Among U.S. stocks trading in Europe,IBM (IBM: Research, Estimates) edged higher. The computer products maker reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings on weaker-than-forecast sales, and reaffirmed sales and earnings projections for the rest of the year.
