Like you, I found myself in a similar situation and decided to give trading a go full time....well, that was nine years ago and I'm still doing it!!
My advice to you - go for it but remember anyone can make money when the market is going up and that doesn't always happen.
Have good money management.
Have a plan and stick to it.
Don't be under capitalised.
Never stop learning.
