Have to agree with you there; Wall Street is completely out of touch with reality. Focus on short term (next quarter!) profits over the long term; proclamations made from on high of what a given company "should" be doing (and the share price gets hammered if those expectations aren't met, regardless of how good/bad the results are in reality); etc., etc.
The only thing keeping me hanging on right now is the hope that things might get better ... but it ain't looking too great at the moment. :(
