As you can tell today, the .250 to .260 area is heavy support/resistance, .220-.230 seems like a strong support. I think we will see heavy resistance at .275 to .280

Generally to get through a resistance/support area the volume needs to be high closing above or below the break. Today didn't break through with such high volume, generally a move down to support sets up a second attempt. Each time resistance or support holds it gets stronger.

As for a range, it is hard to tell at the moment, there is medium term down trend that we have broken out of, although not strongly and the XJO is against us (although XSO is holding up rather well). So you have to see how the next week plays out to get an idea if this break out is real, or a return to the down trend happens.
