    afternoon,

"It is not logical to state that "there are x number of stars in the universe therefore life must exist on one or more of them"."

Perhaps, but I would have thought it very logical to think if there is such a thing as infinity - then surely life must exist 'somewhere' else.

Infinity is an awfully big thing - in fact, if it exists, it would indeed be infinite, wouldn't it?

The words unique and universe might fit together at a squeeze - but unique and infinite? Nah.

I don't know about little green aliens, but I have to say, although I have lived through a wonderful time seeing the beginnings of so many new technologies that are just beginning to give us real answers to questions we have asked ever since we came out of the trees -------- that, I do, in fact feel a little cheated.

With the rapid movement in physics of theories of multiversity, parallel universes and the like - it really is a race before my life ends and we get some really exciting information on this stuff.

If we thought the last few hundred years was exciting and the last hundred or so particularly exciting - what the hell is the next 50 going to be like?

    have a great arvo

    Pinto
