Are you claiming that the universe is infinite or that infinity can theoretically exist? And no, it doesn't follow logically that just because something is infinite therefore it MUST have life other than Earth. Though if you are talking about other dimensions than the mere physical then yeah, I think there's plenty of evidence to support that belief.
But I agree, we know pretty much nothing when you get down to it, so all statements can only be statements of belief or statements of fact according to eh current level of knowledge. My comments about aliens stand.
I suggest the truth of reality lies somewhere along these lines.
