Wages can be low in Asia, but places like Hong Kong, there are people just going through the rubbish bin simply to look for any sort of paper products and metals. Most young people do not want that kind of a job, but the older people seems to do it without any hassitation, as they have no handouts of any kind except for a $800HKD retirement fund ($800HKD is about $125AUS). Unlike us in Australia, because we have the dole and rental assitance, young people just chose to be a bum instead of looking for alternative works. Bottom line is that THIS IS A LUCKY country, and the younger generation are just taking advantage of this and just want to be bums, simply because the government will hand out to them. Thats why our tax rate is as high as 43%, and there are capital gains tax on properties and shares. Countries like HK, and most of the south east asian countries only have a tax rate of max 20%, and NO capital gain tax from shares and properties.
