re: looks set to explode- iw Jeruk is being drilled in reefal buildup carbonates. Perosity and permability can vary dramatically in these types of reservoirs. No details were given as to the ratio of oil to water in the last test, or whether the water was formation water. However it is not unusal to produce appreciable quantities of water with oil from fractured carbonates. Oil was recovered from significantly lower levels in the previous well. Remember there are 4 more wells to be drilled to assess Jeruk. Wells in carbonates are tricky, a less than posiive result in one well might become a gusher in another. Ignorance is what is driving the share price of Cue at the moment. Personally l believe Jeruk will be a success for Santos and Cue. However we are probably 4-6 months away from finding out just how big Jeruk actually is.
